Explanation of Blog Title

I know Heidi's Haus is a sort of unusual name but there is meaning behind it...

When I was about two years old, my wonderful grandfather (Gramps) built a play house for me. And I mean a real playhouse. It just looked like a miniature version of a house complete with tiled roof, door bell and window panes. The icing on the cake was the hand-painted sign my grandmother (Nonee) had him put outside the front door. As you might have guessed, it reads "Heidi's Haus".

Haus is the German word for house. As my maiden name may have given away, my dad's family is very German.

This blog is a refleciton of me, my life, my family, my home and my soon-to-be first-born baby! And it is dedicated to Nonee and Gramps. Without them, the name of the blog would never have been possible.
